CANOGA PARK LUTHERAN CHURCH

Timothy Andrew Jenks, the son of Rev. KC & Judy Jenks, was born on September 8, 1964, in Bismarck, ND.  He attended elementary school in Oakes, ND, and during his sixth grade year a teacher had the class do a research paper entitled “What I Want to Be When I Grow Up”.  At that time, God placed in Tim the desire to become a pastor.  After graduating from high school in Minot, ND, Tim attended Concordia College, St. Paul, MN, where he met and married Michelle Monson from Detroit Lakes, MN.  Tim and Michelle celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on March 2, 2015.  They have two sons, Andrew 28 who lives in Missoula, Montana, and Adam 26 who lives in Bismarck, ND.

Tim attended Seminary at Ft. Wayne, IN, and his Vicarage was at Centro Cristiano de Ysleta, El Paso, Texas.  After graduating from the Seminary in 1990, Tim was at his first parish for nine years, St. Peter’s Lutheran of Gresham, Nebraska. He has been at his second parish, Bethel Bismarck, for the last 16 years.  Through the years Tim has been involved with and held positions as LWML Counselor, both Zone and District; Circuit Visitor; Circuit and District Youth; and the LLL.

Tim & Michelle both look forward to serving and working with God’s people at Canoga Park Lutheran Church.

Laurie has been a life long member of CPLC.  She was baptized, confirmed, & married in this church.  She has been the church secretary for over 20 years and always has a smile & a good word for members and visitors alike.
